Words of Love

I had thought about posting reviews about more contemporary love stories other than Gone With the Wind and Pride and Prejudice (which I found very boring), but then this idea popped into my head. I’d post some beautiful words about love that you could read and meditate on.

Love is patient and kind.  Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.  It does not demand its own way. . It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does  not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.  Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.     (I Corinthians 13:4-7, New Living Translation)

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.     (I Peter 4:8, New Living Translation)

The greatest science in the world; in heaven and on earth; is love. Mother Teresa

There is no remedy for love but to love more.   David Henry Thoreau

Life is the flower for which love is the honey     Victor Hugo

I am not sure exactly what heaven will be like, but I know that when we die and it comes time for God to judge us, he will not ask, ‘How many good things have you done in your life?’ Rather he will ask, ‘How much love did you put into what you did?     Mother  Teresa

The madness of love is the greatest of heaven’s blessings.     Plato
