Books into Oscar’s Best Pictures

The bling, the glitter, the red carpet, movie stars galore, the suspense. I love watching The Academy Awards. I’d grab my hot cocoa and popcorn and watch the entire thing as a child even though I had school the next morning. More than likely I had my glamorous favorites even though most of the time I didn’t see the movies. I loved Bob Hope and I was watching when the man streaked and the Indian maiden read Brando’s decline. This year 3 of the nominated films for Best Pictures were books first. But there have been more and here’s a list of films made from books that went on to win the coveted Oscar for Best Picture.
